As a part of our ongoing commitment to improving health, safety and quality standards, once again we conducted our annual online knowledge tests for employees. Similarly as every year, online knowledge tests were organised in autumn to test and expand the team’s awareness of key areas of the company operations. The health and safety (H&S) knowledge test took place in October and the quality knowledge test was conducted in November.
Both tests consisted of 25 closed-ended questions and this year’s innovation was an additional open-ended question to engage participants in the process of continuous improvement of the work environment and procedures.
During the autumn tests, invenio, Quality & Human Services, and IPSUPPORT employees were given the opportunity to directly share their insights and ideas. The answer to the question: “How can I improve the health and safety arrangements at my workstation?” helped us to collect valuable tips related to the improvement of existing health and safety procedures. In the quality test participants answered the question: “Suggest an effective solution to improve quality and/or efficiency at your workstation.” These suggestions take into account local needs and job specifics, thus providing a real opportunity to implement relevant and practical improvements.
By introducing open-ended questions, we not only wanted to test the knowledge of our employees, but also to use their valuable experience and creativity. As a result, the company’s improvement processes should become more efficient, ultimately increasing the satisfaction and safety of the entire team.
The responses collected will be analysed by the management and expert teams, and the recommendations developed will be used to implement specific improvements. We plan to continue this practice in the future, thereby creating an organisational culture based on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement in the quality of work.
