Belgrade. Two days of talks, presentations and discussion panels that brought specific questions instead of more grand clichés. And these questions are of crucial importance for our industry now.

SEE Automotive Conference is an event that we’ve been linked to since its inception – as partners of the Automotive & Movility Serbia cluster. invenio Serbia is 12 already and for the past 12 years, it has been actively co-creating space for quality development and sustainable growth in the region. This year’s edition was an opportunity to not only celebrate, but mainly discuss the future.

1. Motive power of the future – but what will it be?
The ‘Hydrogen vs. Battery – or even Solar’ panel discussion made us realise that the future will not be black and white. Selecting a motive power technology is not a popularity contest, but a strategic decision that depends on goal, scale, infrastructure, and segment. At invenio, we do not follow one direction only: we’re ready to support our customers regardless of the technology they choose.

2. Artificial intelligence – it’s not a question ‘why’, but ‘where and how’?
AI-related themes were present in most talks, from quality and logistics to process management. It’s not science fiction – it’s a tool that is improving the quality of operational decisions as we speak. We’re starting to use AI in our projects precisely where it has the most sense: in data analysis, non-conformance prediction, optimisation of reaction time.

3. The strength lies in the region
Both presentations and backstage discussions showed clearly one thing: Central and Eastern Europe is not only a ‘manufacturing base’ – it’s a competent, growing market able to create solutions, not only implement them. Cooperation is key – between companies, countries, and sectors.

Taking invenio’s perspective into account, we see the importance of continuity. Today, we’re developing what we’ve been building for years: knowledge, team, and partnerships. The conference in Belgrade reassured me that our foundation is strong. Now it’s time for scaling.

To sum things up, I would like to thank invenio’s President of the Management Board for presence and genuine support during the event. The entire team representing invenio Serbia, invenio Bulgaria and invenio Poland also deserve recognition for substantive discussions, partnership approach and full commitment. We act together – locally and internationally.
